What to bring Where to get it
Please do not feel the need to go out and buy new gear. Thrift stores are your friend. We also have gear you can rent if you can't afford gear. See prices below.
-Sleeping bag (0-20 degree bag) -Sleeping pad -Tent -Day Pack 30L- Large enough to hold water, lunch, layers -Backpack 60 L or duffle bag for all your personal gear -3 liters of water bottles. (My favorite water bottle is Simply Orange juice, super sturdy plastic and only $3). Find it here. -Work Boots/sturdy hiking boots that cover ankle. (Saw crews must have 2 inch overlap between chaps and boots, and boots must be all leather- no mesh material) -Camp shoes (Chakos, flip flops, Crocs, something light and comfortable to change into) -Socks - Avoid Cotton at all costs! -Rain Jacket -Rain Pants -Long Underwear -Sweatpants, something warm to sleep in -Work Pants -Shorts -T-shirts -Long sleeve, thermal, warm base layer -Jacket -Hat (winter hat for nights, sun hat optional) -Gloves (it does get cold in the summer at high elevation) -Headlamp/flashlight -Alarm Clock (Phones DO NOT WORK) -Toiletries -Tupperware (to pack your lunch) -Sunscreen/Bugspray Optional: Knife/Multi tool Book/Journal Sunglasses Bathing Suit Please note, that cotton clothes are not ideal, because it is cold when wet.
