Team Rubicon- Disaster Response Veterans Service Program
Team Rubicon is a non-profit organization that deploys US Military Veterans to respond to natural and manmade disasters around the US and world. The Team's role in domestic disasters is both to provide timely humanitarian assistance and as an outlet to let veterans continue to serve. Team Rubicon first formed in response to the January 2010 Haiti earthquake, when McNulty and Wood led a medical team into Port-au-Prince three days after the quake. On the streets of Port-au-Prince, TR's military veterans realized a simple truth-natural disasters present many of the same problems that confront troops in Iraq and Afghanistan: unstable populations, limited resources, and uncertain information. The skills cultivated on those same battlefields-emergency medicine, risk assessment and mitigation, teamwork, and decisive leadership-are invaluable in disaster zones. Specializing in Field Medicine, Team Rubicon identifies areas within Disaster Zones that demonstrate the greatest need for assistance. Learn more about this organization here.
The Mission Continues- Fellowship Service Program for Veterans
A Mission Continues Fellowship involves 20 hours of paid service per week for 26 weeks at a local nonprofit organization. Fellows are encouraged to choose a nonprofit organization to serve based on their own personal passions. Current and Alumni Fellows have worked at organizations addressing issues ranging from disaster preparedness to education for low-income youth to training service dogs for wounded veterans. These host organizations include Habitat for Humanity, American Red Cross, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
Before beginning the fellowship, Fellows attend a three-day Fellowship Orientation, joining other post-9/11 veterans from their Fellowship Class for a weekend of training, service and camaraderie. Upon returning home from orientation, Fellows officially begin their fellowships at their host organizations. Throughout the fellowship, each Fellow will have the opportunity to lead a community service project, share their story with others, and inspire their community to take action. Team Red, White, and Blue- Veterans Athletic Organization

They host weekly fitness activities, monthly social events, and participate in local races and events together. Team RWB athletes gather all over the country to participate in races with the goal of enriching the life of a wounded veteran and his/her family. Team RWB athletes are considered long-term team members with vision beyond any single race. Learn more about Team RWB here.
